2/23/21 I will return your emails as soon as I can and lend support if I can. I am building out the site to allow for user-submitted content/complaints.

2/23/21 DR Horton refuses to admit I made earlier claims but now states my claims "either not warrantable under the RWC standards or because D.R. Horton does not have sufficient information to evaluate the claim". This is after they sent 3 different people to inspect and take pictures.

2/22/21 DR Horton now states I never made warranty claims 6 months ago. Yet, I have voicemails from Sept asking to come out to inspect.


Plumbing Issues

  • I've had 5 plumbing leaks to date. 2 bad plastic valves and 3 bad faucets. (I will give them credit they came out the same day to fix the leaks).

  • I've had 3 bad faucets that leaked all over the countertop ruining the cabinets, wall, and baseboard. DR Horton replaced the faucets but they put new cabinet "skins" on top of water damage.

  • DR Horton refused to replace the water damaged cabinets and countertop, they decided to put new vinyl "skins" on top to cover the water damage.

  • My bathroom baseboards 6 months later still have water damage and mold growth. "Our finish carpenters are 4 months out on work orders" - DR Horton

  • My wife's personal belongings that were under the sink were destroyed. Hairdryer, straightener, makeup, and various other products.

  • The shower pan leaks which caused water damage on the baseboard. "Our finish carpenters are 4 months out on work orders" - DR Horton

  • On day one my dishwasher leaked because the drain line was not properly attached

  • How do you install two toilets crooked? Look at the left side next to the grout line


Wrong Appliances to signed contract!
My contract states Stainless Steel appliances. I have a Black Frigidaire Refrigerator and Over-the-Range Microwave with Whirlpool Stainless Range and Dishwasher.

Seriously? How does this happen?

So DR Horton stated on 2/22/21 that during the final walkthrough I should have said something about the bad expansion joints. The problem is during the walk through the house will filled with staging furniture and the garage was being used as storage by DR Horton. Strange they conveniently cover all the cracks.

  • Why did they not stop after the first foot?

  • You see the concrete is graded in a way that doesn't allow water to run out.

  • This was a day after a light rain. During our typical afternoon thunderstorms, I have to leave my house through the garage.

  • They used so much plumbers putty it clogged the showerheads.

Building Issues

  • Every interior corner wall is bowed at the corners. "We would have to remove the drywall then reframe the wall, that's a lot of work" - DR Horton

  • Every door jam in the house is 3/4" to 1" above the floor. They decided to caulk the gap. "Looks great" - Said no one ever

  • I had to take 2 doors off the hinges because they wouldn't close properly

  • 6 Interior pre-hung doors were not installed correctly as the frame is crooked causing the doors to not shut. DR Horton offered to replace one door as of 2/18/2021

  • Various baseboards and door casing was never painted, just factory primer

  • Every single corner and along ceilings were cracked. I had to recaulk every corner

  • You can see in the one picture they make a piece of molding out of caulk instead of cutting a tiny piece

  • Numerous crooked tiles, not sitted properly so they make the "hollow sound", mismatched grout - "We will come back at 1 year to fix any grout issues" DR Horton

  • Exterior patio corners cracking. The house is 7 months old

  • DR Horton installed kitchen base cabinets in the bathrooms instead of bathroom vanities.

Why does this matter? Well, because bathroom vanities are 29-30" high, kitchen base cabinets are 34" high. "Basically if your short, Fxck you" - DR Horton

  • Of course, DR Horton installs the worst exterior lights with 25-watt bulbs. I replaced the front and rear patio lights. The lazy painters painted around the light fixtures. I asked the community superintendent to bring some green paint by, it's almost March and I am still waiting. Why didn't they paint first before installing exterior fixtures?

Looks great to me!

Neighbor house has a few shingles that popped up.

Roof Issues

About 4' up from drip edge you will see a row of shingles popping. My guess is they didn't put panel sheathing clip on. So the plywood is lifting up.
